About Us
Dayton Center Church was founded in 1865 and has had a rich history of involvement in our community and throughout the world. We are a non-denominational church affiliated with the Independent Fundamental Churches of America.

We are committed to the preaching of the Gospel and worship of God. As expressions of both of these, we gather for worship on Sunday mornings and evenings, and have programs for adults, children, and teens on Wednesday nights.

On Sunday mornings, we have Sunday School classes for both adults and children (K-12). We also offer Children's Church during our morning worship service for grades K-3.

On Wednesday nights, we have an Adult Bible Study and prayer time that runs all year. We also have a Word of Life Olympians Program for children K-6th grade and our Teen Club that run from September through early May. Please check our calendar page for other events.

For those in our community, we offer our food pantry to those who have need. Please call the church at (989) 843-6351 to set up a time.

If you would like more information, please feel free to call the church or use the contact form, and Pastor Decker will respond as soon as possible.

Greetings from Pastor Decker and family,

We welcome you to Dayton Center Church. We trust that you will find the people to be warm and welcoming.

I have been the pastor of Dayton Center Church since the beginning of 2008 (we moved here just before New Years Day).

Janette and I have been married for 14 years, and we have two children. AJ is eight years old and Wes is four years old. Both of our kids attend Kingston Elementary School. AJ will be in 3rd grade and Wes will be in Kindergarten in the fall.

I was ordained through Calvary Baptist Church (Grand Rapids, MI) on September 9, 2007. I received my M.Div. (Masters of Divinity) from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in May 2008.

It is truly a joy to be serving God at Dayton Center Church. We hope that you will come and visit us some day, so that you can experience the warmth of this church for yourself.

In His grip,

Pastor Decker
